Large 18th Century Giltwood Rococo Mirror Hall Mirror Overmantel Mirror

A sensational large 18th-century giltwood Rococo mirror with original soft bevelled mirror plate, England, circa 1750.

The foliate deeply carved and pierced surround with cabochon cresting flanked by scrolling acanthus leaves, the conforming sides and apron with conforming rocaille scrollwork and other motifs, with rectangular original soft bevelled mirror plate.

This beautiful large mirror could be used as a hall or overmantel mirror and would add significant character to any setting.

Good. Original gilding and mirror plate.
