George II Gun Barrel Mahogany Tripod table. The well-figured top has a pie crust edge, resting on a gun barrel stem, with a pad foot and retains exceptional colour and patina. English, Circa 1740.

Inlaid with holly the moulded and banded top sits above a frieze drawer, beautifully raised on original freely carved Solomonic or twist legs, terminate on reverse pears and joined by ‘y’ shaped stretcher veneered in cross-grain olive.
