Queen Anne Walnut Corner Cupboard with Bevelled Mirror Plate

A truly remarkable find in original condition.

To the door a shaped soft beveled mirror plate is framed by a cross-grain molding of typical queen Anne design which is further cross banded, feather-banded and edged to the opening with a single dee-molding. The hinges and escutcheon are original and clearly express an Asian influence much like that seen on Chinese lacquered furniture of the period. The carcass is constructed of solid oak and unusually has a dovetailed construction, rather than the usual ‘nailed’. We particularly like the book matched walnut used on the cross grain cornice.

Corner cupboards are a great way to add height to your interior.
