Large 17th Century William and Mary Olive Oyster Cushion Mirror, C. 1690
A fine William and Mary 17th century olive oyster cushion framed mirror with an original soft bevelled edge 17th-century mirror plate.
The original soft bevelled edge mirror plate is bordered by a fine cross-grain ogee moulding. The pulvinated frame is decorated entirely in well-chosen book-matched sections of olive oysters and edged with a beaded ovolo cross-grain moulding.
It should be noted that this is an extremely accomplished example with a bold pulvinated frame and complex mouldings.
The colour and patination is exceptional.
