Rare 17th-Century Charles II Oak Log Box, Blanket Box, Low Coffer

Very rare 17th-century solid oak log box from the reign of King Charles II, circa 1660-1690. England

In typical 17th-century construction, each face is panelled and raised on styles terminating to a hand-carved finial. The styles to the front are moulded.

This is a very rare piece, to put it into context, this is the only example I have
encountered.

Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Lovely country house condition. Original styles
